This seminar covers agent-based simulations for socially situated organizational research.
Service Description
This seminar offers a practicum in simulation techniques for organizational researchers and designers. We introduce research related to modeling people in action under different organizational assumptions, and offer opportunities for hands-on practice. The workshop at aimed at helping managers, consultants, and researchers expand their practices with these tools. This seminar is a three-day intensive on simulation techniques for organizational researchers and designers. Day one covers some ideological foundations for designing simulations, using research from computational organization theory. Days two and three are practicums. On day two, participants work with one of our pre-built simulations in R or Python. On day three, participants tweak a pre-built model to answer a question of relevance to their organizations.
